Sushi Wara in Delta, BC is currently looking for a competent First Cook to join our team. Position: First Cook (Full-time, Permanent) Positions Available: 1 Wage: C$27.00~$37.00 per hour (depending on experience and skills) Work hours: 30~35 hours per week Vacations: 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% of gross salary Work Location: Delta, BC Job Duties: - Prepare and cook Japanese food items, such as roll sushi, nigiri sushi, Teriyaki, Donburi, etc. - Make adjustment to food items to accommodate customers with food restrictions - Manage kitchen operations - Supervise and train kitchen helpers and junior cooks regarding preparation, cooking and handling of food, etc. - Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization - Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment - Requisition food and kitchen supplies - Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and work area - Comply with food safety and sanitation standards, and company policies Requirements: - Completion of secondary school is required. - A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial cooking is required. - Language of Work: English How to Apply: If you find this opportunity appealing and meet the specified criteria, kindly send your resume to sushiwaradelta.recruit@gmail.com.
