Position: Sushi Chef Wage: CAD$36.60/hour Types: Full-time, Permanent Working hours: 30~40 hours/week Benefits: 4% of vacation pay Job Duties: • Plan and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of foods • Prepare and cook Japanese sushi foods such as sushi, sashimi, and special dishes • Create new recipes • Plan menus and ensure sushi food meets quality and safety standards • Supervise activities of cooks and staff • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment • Monitor and requisition food and supplies • Arrange any repair /purchase of equipment • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies Job Requirements: • Completion of secondary school; • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial food preparation required. • Cook certificate an asset Language at work: English Job Location: 14 Victoria Crescent, Nanaimo, BC V9R 5B8 Contact Information: Nana Sushi Restaurant • E-mail: nanasushi.hr@gmail.com
