The Opportunity: Electrician Sustain Electric Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of electrical tasks, demonstrating proficiency in: • Residential Construction and Renovations: Executing new electrical installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting for residential homes, ensuring compliance with all safety and electrical codes. • Commercial Construction and Renovations: Performing electrical installations, maintenance, and upgrades in commercial buildings, including retail spaces, offices, and light industrial facilities. • Green Energy: Installing and maintaining electrical systems for renewable energy projects, such as solar panel installations and EV charging stations. • Lighting Control and Automation: Implementing and troubleshooting advanced lighting control systems, including smart home integration and energy-efficient lighting solutions. • Low Voltage: Working with low voltage systems, including data cabling, security systems, and audio-visual installations. • Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams. • Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues efficiently and safely. • Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. • Collaborating effectively with team members, clients, and other trades. • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used. Qualifications: • High school diploma. • 3-5 years of experience in the electrical trade with demonstrated experience in: o Residential Construction and Renovations o Commercial Construction and Renovations o Green Energy o Lighting Control and Automation o Low Voltage • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Compensation & Benefits: • Hourly Rate: $35 - $40 per hour, based on experience. • Work Hours: 40 hours per week. • Benefits: Comprehensive health and dental benefits package. • Vacation Pay: 4% vacation pay. • Overtime Rate: 1.5 times the regular rate, as per BC Labor Laws.
