Business address: 158 Bayview Ave, Port McNicoll, ON L0K 1R0 Work location: 476 Hugel Ave, Midland, ON L4R 1V6 Type of Employment: Full Time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers Oversee kitchen operations Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment May set up and oversee buffets May clean kitchen and work area May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies May hire and train kitchen staff. Requirements Education: Completion of secondary school is required. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food industry is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate is required Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Client focus, Dependability, Excellent written and oral communication, Flexibility, Initiative, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Time management Language: English is required. Salary: $23.25 hourly, 30 - 35 hours per week. Employee discount provided. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Important Information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The worker must work 6 to 7 hours per day, 5 to 6 days per week. Shifts are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with some longer shifts depending on events.
