Our restaurant is located in Metrotown and fully serves Traditional Korean cuisine. Now we are looking for experienced chefs willing to become our valued team members! Employer: Gamsa Enterprises Ltd. (o/a 88 Town) Position: 2 Full-time Chef Working Location: 5640 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC. V5H 2G5 Wage: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour and 4% of the gross income for paid vacation per year. Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week. Start date of Employment: ASAP Responsibilities - Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff. - Create new recipes and plan menus - Train and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of new recipes and menus - Prepare and cook complete meals and create decorative food displays for special group menus, such as a birthday, anniversary, celebration, etc. - Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Requirements - Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate. - Experience: 5 years of commercial cooking and food preparation experience. - Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, wok, and deep fryer). - A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage. - Leadership skills. - Excellent time management abilities - Familiarity with sanitation regulations.
