Company: A.P Lagoon Service Ltd. Business information: We provide custom farm work. We pump manure from farm to field and inject it into ground from hog and dairy lagoons. Business address: 7 Chortitz Street N, Chortitz, MB R6P 0B9 Location of work: Various locations across Altona and Winkler, MB. Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job duties: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Spread manure onto client’s farms’ land. Assist in the maintenance of pumping equipment. Help set up pumping equipment such as laying out hose and hose string through culverts to pump manure from farm to field. Inject manure into the ground with applicator. Requirements: -Education: No formal education is required -Experience: Previous experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided. -Must take direction and abide by safety rules -Class 5 Driver’s License is required. -Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Repetitive Tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Overtime required -Personal Suitability: Initiative, Accurate, Judgement, Effective interpersonal skills, Team player, Organized, Flexibility -Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Cold/refrigerated, In/on water, Wet/damp, Odours -Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) -Language: Basic level of English is required Wage: $20.00 per hour. 45 - 60 hours per week. Benefits: Vehicle provided by the company for transportation among work locations and personal use. Important information: Work schedule is from Monday to Friday. During summer and winter, working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
