Nana Sushi Restaurant is located at 14 Victoria Crescent, Nanaimo, BC V9R 5B8. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Sushi Chef. Position: Sushi Chef Wages: CAD$28.00-37.00/hour (depending on skills and experiences) Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including evening, weekends, and holidays) Working hours: 30~40 hours/week Benefits: 4% of vacation pay Job Duties: • Plan and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of foods • Prepare and cook Japanese sushi foods such as sushi, sashimi, and special dishes • Create new recipes • Plan menus and ensure sushi food meets quality and safety standards • Supervise activities of cooks and staff • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment • Monitor and requisition food and supplies • Arrange any repair /purchase of equipment • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies Job Requirements: • Completion of secondary school; • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial food preparation required. • Skills demonstration may be required. • Cook's trade certification an asset • Proficiency in fish filleting, including cleaning, boning, and slicing is an asset Language at work: English Job Location: 14 Victoria Crescent, Nanaimo, BC V9R 5B8 How to apply: • Please email us your application with resume, cover letter, and references attesting experience Contact Information: Nana Sushi Restaurant • E-mail: nanasushi.hr@gmail.com | |
