True North Tiling Solutions Ltd provides tiling services across lower mainland. We are looking for skilled and experienced tile setters in building construction, renovations and maintenance. Job Type: Full-Time and Permanent Language: English Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible Minimum Education: High School Diploma Positions Available: 2 Responsibilities include but not limited to: · Texturing and installing dressed stone and tiles, mixing cement and mortar, and restoring old and damaged masonry works. · Cleaning and leveling the surface area. · Applying cement / grout according to design plans. · Cut and fit tiles and other similar masonry tiles around obstacles and openings by using hand and power cutting tools, · Install tile strips, · Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles. Work experience and requirements: · Previous experience as a tile setter, 3 years to less than 5 years. · Ability to operate hand and machine cutting tools. · Knowledge of tiling designs and installation techniques. · Ability to work crouching or kneeling for long periods. · Good problem-solving skills. · Enthusiasm and decent work attitude · Valid BC driver’s license required Trade certification in tiling is required · Criminal record check will be done · Compensation: $37.00 per hour for 40 hours a week. · Company Truck and gas allowance. Overtime: As per BC labour laws after 40 hours.
