Business address: 577 Rogers Rd, Toronto, ON, M6M 1B7 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Inspect kitchens and food service areas Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Order supplies and equipment Supervise kitchen staff and helpers Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Clean kitchen and work areas Manage kitchen operations Requirements: Education: Completion of high school is required. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a cook is required. If the candidate does not have at least 2 years of experience, then a post-secondary certificate is required. Experience in Italian cuisine and pizza cooking is an asset. However, on-the-job training will be provided. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Overtime required, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) Personal suitability: Client focus, Dependability, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team Player Work Setting: Restaurant Language: English is required. Salary: $17.00 hourly, 40 - 48 hours per week.
