Web Developer (Full-time, Burnaby BC, on-site) | |
Position: Web Developer Job Duties: 1. Develop, write, modify, integrate, and test website-related code, plug-ins, and web application interfaces for websites and related digital platforms. 2. Design, build, and maintain responsive and user-friendly webpages to support student recruitment, immigration consultation, and lead generation. 3. Conduct testing and analyze performance data to monitor website quality, usability, and security, identifying areas for improvement. 4. Develop and implement procedures for regular website updates, content revisions, and system enhancements. 5. Monitor and maintain the functionality, accessibility, and uptime of company websites and web applications. 6. Collaborate with designers, marketing staff, and management to plan and implement website architecture, visual design, and information flow. 7. Research, evaluate, and recommend new web technologies, CMS tools, and interactive media solutions to enhance user engagement. 8. Integrate websites with third-party systems such as CRM, analytics, chatbot, and payment gateways to streamline client interaction and data tracking. Skills Requirements: 1. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive design frameworks. Strong knowledge of PHP, and MySQL. 2. Familiarity with AWS cloud services and web hosting management. 3. Experience in testing, debugging, and optimizing website performance. 4. Understanding of API integration, JSON, RESTful services, and website security best practices. 5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams. Education and Experience Requirements: 1. A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or a related field. 2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in web design, development, or related technical roles. 3. Experience in the education, consulting, or marketing sectors is preferred.
