Abdul Kalam, the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) celebrated World Students’ Day on October 15, 2023, commemorating the birth anniversary of this visionary leader. Dr. Kalam’s birth anniversary on this day has been designated as a day to honor students globally and emphasize the crucial role they play in shaping a better future. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India and an exemplary scientist, politician, and educator, left an indelible mark on the nation through his contributions to science, education, and social progress. Known as the ‘Missile Man of India,’ he played a pivotal role in the success of the Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998.
