Position: Kitchen Helper Positions Available: 1 Employment Term: Permanent Hourly Wage: C$16.75 per hour Working Hours: 30.00 ~ 40.00 hours per week Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation per year or 4% of gross salary Business Address & Work Location: #111-1983 Columbia Ave., Castlegar, BC V1N 2W8 Main Job Duties: - Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits, etc. - Prepare, heat and finish simple food items such as tempura, gyoza and salads - Receive, unpack and store ingredients and supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas - Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment - Maintain kitchen clean by sweeping and mopping floors and removing garbage. - Sharpen kitchen knives - Perform other duties to assist cook and assistant cook as needed. Requirements: Education: Minimum completion of Grade 10 is required. Experience: No experience is required. On-the-job training is provided.
