Bella Coola Valley Inn is located in the coastal community of Bella Coola town and fully provides an accommodation service. Now, we are looking for a full-time hotel front desk clerk who is willing to become our valued team member! Employer: Bremer Canada Enterprises Ltd. (o/a Bella Coola Valley Inn) Position: Full-time Hotel Front Desk Vacancies: 1 Working Location: 441 Mackenzie Street, PO Box 949, Bella Coola, BC. V0T 1C0 Wage: $16.75 ~ $18.00 per hour (to be negotiated) and 4% of the gross income for paid vacation per year. Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week. Start date of Employment: ASAP Responsibilities - Register arriving guests and assign rooms. - Process group arrivals and departures - Take, cancel and change room reservations. - Provide information on hotel facilities and services. - Provide general information about points of interest in the area. - Investigate and resolve complaints and claims. - Process guests’ departures calculate charges and receive payments. - Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms. - Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments. - Follow emergency and safety procedures. - Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying) - Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages - Assist clients/guests with special needs. - Handle wake-up calls. - Provide customer service. Requirements - Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate. - Will train - Previous hospitality experience would be advantageous. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word, and Excel would be advantageous. - Ability to follow all sanitation procedures. - Good communication skills. - Excellent customer service skills.
