Job Title: Painter Company: Dominion Masonry Location of work: 7880 Venture Street Burnaby, BC, V5A 1V3 Hourly wage: 27.50 to 30.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per week. Terms of employment: Full time, permanent employment Start date: as soon as possible. Benefits: Health benefits Vacancies: 5 Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 to 2 to 3 years Work site environment: Outdoors, at heights, confined spaces, odours Work setting: Various locations and on-site customer service . Duties and Tasks • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. • Repair cracks and holes • Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials • Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and priming • Apply paint, stain, to various surfaces • Maintain cleanliness and organization of painting equipment and tools • Follow safety guidelines and adhere to company policies Requirements • Previous experience as a painter in the construction industry • Solid knowledge of painting techniques and materials • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and quality • Brush painting • Roller painting • Surface preparation experience • Drywall taping/patching • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
