Company: G&A Carpenter Business information: We frame decorated ceilings as well as bulkheads to cover pipes or post in wood. We also frame custom ceilings such as waffle ceilings, tray ceilings and dropped ceilings. Business address: 48 Callander Crescent, Alliston, ON L9R 0B4. Work Location: Various locations in Wasaga beach and surrounding areas, depending on the client's sites. Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Perform miscellaneous labouring activities to help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials: Help measuring, cutting and nailing wood studs of different sizes. Operate framing nailers, skill saws, reciprocating saws. Properly use speed squares, levels, and laser levels. Help locating and organizing the materials needed for each job. Drive a truck to and from the job sites. Requirements: - Education: No formal education is required. - Experience: Experience is an asset. Training will be provided. - Valid Driver’s License is required. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Work under Pressure; Tight Deadlines; Repetitive Tasks; Handling Heavy Loads; Physically Demanding; Manual Dexterity; Attention to Detail; Standing for Extended Periods; Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, Crouching, Kneeling. Personal suitability: Initiative, Client Focus, Accurate, Judgement, Effective Interpersonal skills, Team Player, Organized, Reliability Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Work Site Environment: At heights, Dusty, Dangerous. Language: Basic level of English is required. Salary: $27.50 per hour, 40-44 hours per week. Important Information: The employee will work 8 hours per day, normal schedule is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday. Overtime may be required depending on the project or site.
