Position: Line Cook Position Available: 1 What we offer: • Competitive Pay + Tips • Eligibility for extended health benefits • Eligibility for Employee and Family Assistance Program • Ongoing events and team sports • A positive workplace environment and culture • Free meal per shift • Great discounts for you and your loved ones before and after shifts • Continued growth opportunities • Flexible work schedule Employment Condition(s): • Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent • Working Location: 8 East 5th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5T 1G8 • Working hours: 30~40 hours per week • Wage: $17.00 ~ $20.00 per hour (Depending on experience) Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook complete meals. • Food preparation: cutting, portioning, frying, baking, following recipes, putting away orders, and cleaning of kitchen tools and facility as required. • Making modifications to orders based on dietary or allergy needs. • Supporting with inventory when required. • Support in cleaning and upkeep of kitchen equipment. • Supporting the cleaning of workspace and kitchen. • Prepping and portioning of food items. • Provide additional support as needed. • Ensure all food preparation and storage procedures are followed as outlined by • Vancouver Coastal Health, to include FIFO and appropriate labeling. • Playing a role in ensuring a respectful workplace environment by professional communication with all team members and customers. • Other duties as required. Requirements: • Language: English • Education: Completion of secondary • Experience: 6+ months experience in a fast-paced & professional kitchen environment preferred • A strong passion for food • A positive and professional attitude • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines • Basic knife skills • Food Safe Level 1 an asset • Ability to work evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the business • The desire for growth and opportunity How to apply: • Please send your resume to : people@tacofino.com At Tacofino, we believe our people are what makes us great.
