E1E 1E1 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Assist to prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frosting according to recipes or special customer orders Assist to frost and decorate cakes and baked goods Assist to ensure that the quality of products meets established standards Assist to bake mixed dough and batters Assist to prepare special orders Assist to draw up production schedules Inspect kitchen and food services areas Assist to operate machinery Assist for the requisition or order of materials, equipment and supplies Assist to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Assist to organize and maintain inventory Assist in scaling, mixing, producing, baking, packaging a variety of products including dough and pastry items Requirements: Education: Completion of high school is required. Experience: Not required. On-the-job training will be provided. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Initiative, Client focus, Accurate, Judgement, Effective interpersonal skills, Team player, organized. Language: English is required Work Setting: Bake shop Salary: $14.75 hourly, 37.5 hours per week. Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required.
