Type of Employment: Full time-Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Load, unload and transport construction materials to work locations Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades Mix, pour and spread materials Assist heavy equipment operators Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction Level earth to fine grade specifications Pave and rake asphalt Assist in demolishing buildings Clean and pile salvaged materials Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction Direct traffic at or near construction sites Concrete removal operations utilizing pneumatic hammers ranging from 8kg to 20kg in weight Drilling dowels into concrete utilizing pneumatic and electric drills Requirements: -Education: No formal education is required -Experience: Experience as a general construction labourer is an asset. Training will be provided -Valid driver’s license is an asset -Work under different weather conditions -Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Overtime required, Tight deadlines -Work site environment: Outdoors, At heights, Dangerous, Hot/Cold, Dusty -Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs.) -Language: Basic level of English is required. Salary: $20.00 hourly, 30 - 63 Hours per week. Important information: 6 days of work per week. Monday to Saturday. Sunday is off. There is a morning shift that goes from 7 am to 5:30 pm and a night shift that goes from 7 pm to 6 am. The workers will be allocated to one of the two shifts based on the business needs. Overtime is required **A minimum of 30 hours of work per week is guaranteed during winter time** Benefits: Transportation costs covered if workers need to relocate.
