Nwa’nwi reflects my teen years, from the first devastating blow of life, which led me to an unexpected reality, and how I saw the world thereafter. In a challenging but very fortunate way, I could see myself gradually moving from one step to another. Humbled by some misfortunes, I hate and love the place I grew up. Due to these mixed feelings, I had to go to a place I could be myself to think. Little did I know, there were worse things out there. It will take more than just strength, but also faith to stand on both feet. So I soaked my brain in deep thoughts as I walked through adulthood gathering unforeseen particles that might or might not have led me here. So I decide to tell a story of myself and the mysteries of the place and time I grew up. My passion was always something I couldn’t lose, even when the worst came knocking. Describing an exhausting tendency to fail but exaggerated love to succeed keeps me awake. Nwa’nwi is a trail of footprints oozing words that tell where I am from and where I am going. | |
