Our team has developed greenfield sites from the beginning of the project life, worked on long-term sustaining contracts during the operational phase of a project, and also re-contoured and reclaimed sites after the project was completed.

Job Description:

Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.

Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.

Post journal entries.

Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.

Prepare tax returns.

Prepare trial balance of books.

Reconcile accounts.



Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school is required

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper, financial or accounting clerk combined with courses in accounting or bookkeeping are required. In the event that the candidate does not have 2 years of experience, then completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field OR completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) are required.

Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, Accounting software, Data analysis software, Database software, Inventory control software and TaxPrep.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Tight deadlines, Work under pressure

Personal suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication

Language: English is required



Salary: $28.85 per hour. 40 hours per week.

Other information:
