Company: Surface Exteriors Ltd. Business information: We provide a full-spectrum roofing, building envelope, & waterproofing service that is dedicated to residential and commercial structures. Surface Exteriors provides roofing and waterproofing services, as well as building envelope remediation and maintenance, for multi-family homes, commercial buildings, and exterior renovations. We also provide sheet metal fabrication and custom architectural sheet metal. We work with architects, property managers, strata councils and building owners to ensure their buildings are protected from the challenges of the Pacific Northwest climate. Business address: 312 – 1201 Commercial Way, Squamish BC V8B 0V1 Work Location: Same as above and Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, all in BC. Type of Employment: Full time-Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Load, unload and transport construction materials to work locations Assist heavy equipment operators Removal of construction debris Prepping sites for construction Assist foreman with placing and aligning materials Providing assistance with metal fabrication Assist in clean up and maintenance of project sites Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction Direct traffic at or near construction sites Requirements: -Education: No formal education is required -Experience: Experience as a general construction labourer is an asset. Training will be provided -Valid driver’s license is an asset -Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding; and work at heights -Ability to handle weight up to 50 kg -Ability to communicate via reading/writing, speaking/listening -Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, Manual dexterity. Salary: $30.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week. Important information: This position requires working 40 hours per week in the summer, a minimum of 30 hours of work per week is guaranteed during winter time. Flexibility on schedule is required. Schedule varies based on location and type of job. Start times between 7am – 10 am and completion between 4pm to 6pm. Overtime may be required. Benefits: Disability, Extended Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Pension Group RRSP. We also provide Uniforms, some Tools and Personal Protective Equipment, and Leave of Absence (LOA). Relocation costs covered by the employer if the worker needs to relocate. We will reimburse the relocation expenses to a maximum of $800.00 CAD.
