At Ramen Gojiro, we specialize in jiro-style, also known as gatsuri-style, ramen. This style of ramen boasts voluminous amounts of noodles and toppings and is wildly popular in Japan. The over-the-top bowls that we offer at Ramen Gojiro will ensure that your ramen cravings are satisfied. Position: Cook (Full-Time, Permanent) Work Location: 501 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 1Y4 Working Criteria: Permanent, 40 hrs/week Salary: $17-18 per hour Vacation: 4% of gross salary OR 10 days paid vacation Position Available: 2 Qualifications: – Completion of Secondary School – At least 2 years of experience cooking in a restaurant OR Completion of a 3-year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of a college or other programs in cooking – Previous experience preparing Ramen or any Japanese cuisine preferred – Fluent in English – Passion for food and people Duties and responsibilities: – Prepare and cook complete Japanese meals and dishes – Cook broth with special house recipe – Plan menus and determine the size of food portions, food costs and requirements. – Maintain and ensure sanitation standards by complying with provincial regulations – Train and supervise kitchen helpers – Ensure food quality in presentation and production – Maintain kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment – Clean kitchen and work areas How to apply: Please submit your resume by email at menyakoujihiring@gmail.com Only selected candidates will be contacted for the interview.
