Business Information: LoadStar Trailers Inc. manufactures trailers for heavy equipment that are backed by a full 10 year structural warranty and a lifetime wiring warranty. From our 20,000 square foot facility located in 155 Dodge St, Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, we have shipped trailers as far away as Australia and service North American Markets on a daily basis. Our trailer customer base is a good mixture and ranges from independent operators to large corporations. Business Address: 155 Dodge St, Cobourg, ON K9A 0E9 Work Location: Same as above. Type of Employment: Full-time - Permanent Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Duties: Interpret welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment Operate hoisting and lifting equipment Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products Assemble and weld parts and frames for heavy haul trailers from blueprints. Requirements Education: Some secondary school is required. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in welding is required. If the candidate does not have 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate OR completion of a three-year apprenticeship program is required. Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Manual dexterity, Standing for extended periods, Handling heavy loads, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Physically demanding. Weight Handling: up to 23 kg (50lbs). Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Team Player, Accurate, Judgement. Welding Techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Multipass. Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine. Area of specialization: Custom fabrication . Language: English is required. Salary: $26.06 hourly, 39.50-44 hours per week. Important Information: Work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm (It includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 10-minute paid coffee breaks).
