Business Address: 157 Rembrandt Place, London, ON N6C 5G9 Work Location: Same as above and surrounding areas Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Anticipated Start Date As soon as possible Job Duties: Load, unload and transport construction materials Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades Mix, pour and spread materials Assist heavy equipment operators Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs Level earth to fine grade specifications Pave and rake asphalt Assist in demolishing buildings Clean and pile salvaged materials Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction Direct traffic at or near construction sites Read and interpret blueprints Drive to and from work locations Requirements Education: Not required Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a general construction labourer are required. Driver’s license is required. Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling Personal suitability: Flexibility, Client focus, Reliability, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Initiative, Accurate, Judgement, Organized Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights, Confined spaces, Dusty Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) Language: English is required Salary: $24.00 hourly, 30 – 44 hours per week Benefits: Uniform and safety boots are provided, Accommodation available at a discounted rate, Vehicle supplied by employer for work use only, Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Important Information: The candidate will work from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 10-minute paid healthy breaks. Flexibility in the schedule is required, as some days may start earlier and others may finish later, depending on the business needs and weather conditions. Work on weekends (Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM) may eventually be required, depending on the business needs. **We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week, regardless of the weather conditions.
