Novastone Inc. is seeking a Machinist with AutoCAD /Drafting knowledge who is able to operate advanced milling machines to join their team. Salary: $34.50 to $43.00/Hourly depending on experience and skills Job Type: Full-Time and Permanent 40 hours a week Language: English Start Date of Employment As soon as possible Minimum Education: Diploma Positions Available: 1 • Experience in Donatoni Multi-axis Bridgesaw for milling is required. • Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data • Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) machines and develop and prepare design sketches • Knowledge as a designer and product development analyst in mechanical industries is desirable • Drawing/projects, able to read blueprints and acting directly on the factory floor • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data • Write technical reports • Supervise and train other technologists when required • Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams / layouts from sketches and customer requirements • Experience and knowledge of cladding systems including stone is an asset • Work with stone, clients & design consultants regarding technical issues. Minimum education: Diploma in relevant field with Red Seal required. Other training required: Donatoni Multi-axis Bridgesaw for milling is required Experience and skills required: 3 – 5 years as Machinist with knowledge of CAD design experience Operate and maintain the operation of milling & lathe machines Work under minimum supervision. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizing.
