Position: Restaurant Operator Position Vacancy: 1 What we offer: • Work/Life balance • Values-oriented and positive workplace environment • Support from a positive head office team • Competitive salary + great bonuses • Eligibility for extended health and dental benefits • Maternity and Parental leave top-up plan • Employee and Family Assistance Program • Opportunities for continued growth Employment Condition(s): • Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time • Working Location: 2327 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC V5L 1V6 • Working hours: 40 hours per week • Wage: Annually $55,000 Responsibilities: • Overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the restaurant. • Monitoring and maintaining food and labour targets to meet goals, including sales and community initiatives. • Creating schedule templates, forecasted labour, and sales tracking. • Performing and submitting bi-weekly inventories, organizing invoices, and supporting payroll. • Fostering and maintaining a safe and positive work environment for your team that encourages efficiency and growth. • Leading your team and providing additional support when required, such as jumping on a station and supporting the line to expedite lunch and/or dinner services. • Working with the Operations team to learn new recipes in food and beverage, ensuring they are to the specifications as outlined in the company’s recipe guide. • Ensuring consistent standards of food quality and guest satisfaction. • Maintaining kitchen systems and timelines for ordering, food production, station pars, equipment maintenance scheduling and opening/closing duties of all back of house staff. • Working with the HR department in recruitment activities, interviewing and hiring for all positions within your team. • Providing orientations, ongoing training and development and coaching opportunities, and performance reviews for your team. • Ensuring your team is complying to appropriate safe food-handling procedures as per the Vancouver Coastal Health Guidelines. • Working with your team to ensure great experiences for guests. Building great relationships with guests to create return customers. • Working with your team to identify ways to give back to the local community. • Other duties as required. Requirements: • Education - Completion of High School • Language - Excellent and positive communication skills, both verbal and written in English • A minimum of 2 years of food service experience including at least one year of a leadership/supervisory role, ideally in both front of house and back of house. • Flexibility to work evenings and holidays/weekends according to the needs of the business.
