We are a very popular Japanese restaurant in Vancouver, BC. We are fully serving Japanese style cuisine and our featured items are Chicken Teri Box, Veggie Dragon Roll and Beef Yakiudon. Now we are looking for the experienced cooks who are willing to become our valued team members! Employer: Hoya Enterprise Inc. (o/a Sun Sushi) Position: 3 Full-time Cooks Working Location: 4512 W 10th Ave, Vancouver, BC, V6R 2J1 Wage: $16.50 ~ $18.00 per hour and 4% of the gross income for paid vacation per year. Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week. Start date of Employment: asap Duties - Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes and foods. - Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies and intolerances. - Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. - Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies. - Inspect kitchens and food services areas. - Clean kitchen and workstation. - Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. - Order supplies and equipment. Requirements - Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate. - Experience: 2+ years cooking experience or completion of other programs in cooking. - Japanese style food cook experience could be an asset.
