We have numerous years of experience in the industry and we hold the expertise in wood framing for condos, apartment buildings, hotels & town homes. It is our aim to build housing that fits the dynamics of our environment. Now we are looking for an experienced Carpenter who wishes to work with us. Employer: TRAV Construction Inc. Job Title: Carpenter Job Open: 10 Business Address: 36938 Dawson Road, Abbotsford, British Columbia V3G 2L1 Job Location: Various Locations, Lower Mainland, BC Wage: $30.00 ~ $35.00/hour (depending on the experience) and 4 % from gross income as vacation pay. Hour of Work: 40 hours per week Start date of Employment: A.S.A.P < Duties > -Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. -Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. -Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweights steel and other materials. -Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware. -Assist supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation. -Utilize woodworking machinery, hand tools, or power tools, constructs or fixes furniture such as doors, frames, flooring, and other wooden fittings found in structures. -Supervise other construction workers. < Requirements > - Completion of secondary school is required. - Four years or more of work experience as a Carpenter - Ability to read technical documents and drawings, and follow blueprints. - Good communication skills. - Good understanding of basic math. < How to apply > By email at info.travconstruction1@gmail.com Please respond with resume by email with “Carpenter” in the subject line.
