Lakeview Restaurant is located at 150 Esplanade Ave., Harrison Hot Springs, BC V0M 1K0. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Specialty Foods Chef (Korean & Japanese). Position: Specialty Foods Chef (Korean & Japanese) Wage: CAD$36.60/hour Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts including evening, weekends and holidays) Working hours: 30-40 hours/week Benefits: 4% of vacation pay Job Duties: • Create and design Korean and Japanese recipes and menu items that highlight traditional flavors and cooking techniques; • Expand the menu to incorporate Canadian preferences, blending traditional Korean and Japanese flavors with local Canadian ingredients; • Plan and guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency; • Ensure all food meets high-quality and safety standards; • Prepare and cook food for special orders, chef's specials, and specialty foods; • Supervise activities of cooks and staff; • Demonstrate new cooking methods and equipment to enhance efficiency and elevate the quality of dishes; • Monitor inventory and requisition necessary food and supplies; • Arrange any repair /purchase of equipment; • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies.
