Bar Manager Position For Hire

Overtime: $33/Hour, starts after 44 hours
Benefits: Medical and dental benefits are provided with a cost sharing of $20/month

Education:
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management. If you do not have this education, then 2 years' experience in Mexican or related cuisine restaurant is required
• Responsible beverage service certification
Work Setting: Restaurant
Schedule: 32.5 Hours/Week. Flexibility in schedule is required, especially for take-out service. The work schedule is from Monday to Sunday, with one day off on a rotational basis. The most frequent shift is from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, but shifts can vary from day to day. Overtime will be required. The workers will rotate between the two locations.


Qualifications and Experience:
• Three years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience
• Minimum 2-year experience in Mexican style full-serve restaurant
• Knowledge of Mexican cuisine

Tasks:
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the bar
• Implement operational procedures
• Recruit staff and oversee staff training
• Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
• Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of restaurant for events
