There is an old saying that goes "If I only knew then what I know now" I promised you I would be a millionaire for all the time and money I wasted on things and people that went nowhere. And that's not to mention my broken heartedness. But thanks be unto God who has caused even my mistakes to prosper and He'll do the same for you. I stumbled into writing while working on a family project. I have spent years counseling, encouraging, educating and ministering to young people of all diverse backgrounds. I now realize even more so today, that everyone has the potential to succeed in life all they need is a chance. Realizing, that God had awakened a talent and gift within me to communicate a message of love, hope and inspiration to hurting people, I decided to put it in writing and in doing so, Welcome to the University of Life - A Book Of Life Lessons was birth. The title of the book came from a slogan that I would always use when counseling, encouraging, educating or ministering to young people and people of all ages and stages of life. Young people often would express a situation or issue they were going through which, in reality was just growing pains of becoming an adult and I know we as adults can all attest of going through that phase of life. Now looking back it seems funny, All the advice I give young people today is nothing different than what my Mom use to tell me, and if you're a young adult I'm sure your Mom is telling you the same thing, but I thought she was old fashion and didn't understand the times that I live in and now life has made full circle and I find myself saying the same things to my young adult children. I wished I'd listened to my Mom back then I would have save so, so, so much time and money and not to mention sparing my heart from being broken so many times looking for love all in the wrong places and for sure with the wrong people. I pray this book prevents you from making the same mistakes I made in Jesus Name.  | |
