We pay top dollar to our drivers which includes a signing bonus of up to $4,000 and a great benefits package. You must possess a clean class #1 licence, be able and willing to run Canada & United States, and have previous flatdeck experience. West Rim’s “TEST DRIVE” Program allows drivers to lease a clean, newer model Peterbilt or Kenworth W-900 with no money down, all oil changes and maintenance included, on a monthly UNLIMITED MILEAGE basis. This program allows a driver to “test drive” WEST RIM, to see what our equipment and lanes of traffic are like, while seeing first hand what kind of money he can take home. If the operator is happy with his experience at West Rim, and we are happy with each other, he can buy a used lease truck or brand new truck with no money down, at a fleet price, regardless of previous credit history, based solely on current performance. 2. West Rim’s “JUMP START” Program allows an owner operator to put his highway tractor to work, (and his trailer too, if he has one), pulling in high revenue while running as many miles as he can legally run in all 48 states and 10 provinces. 3. West Rim’s “COMPANY DRIVER” Program puts drivers into clean, spacious, newer model, high powered Peterbilts and Kenworth W-900’s that pay 25% of the revenue, plus a generous mileage & fuel bonus, payable monthly, running 48 States and across Canada (Company Drivers must reside in B.C.). 4. Qualified “DRIVER TRAINERS” are needed to expand our growing training program. Drivers must have 5 years experience with 2 years minimum flat deck, clean abstract and claims history. They must live in the Vancouver, BC lower mainland. 5. West Rim’s “MENTORSHIP” Program provides on-the-job training with pay ($1440.00 per month plus $60.00 vacation pay less applicable taxes) for qualified, mature individuals by matching up drivers who possess a Class-1 license with little or limited road and mountain experience with an experienced Mentor. This Mentor passes on a wealth of experience and knowledge gained over the years, and hundreds of thousands of miles of cross-border hauling to the trainee. Training time can run 8 weeks or less, depending on ability. West Rim offers a variety of HIRING BONUSES that pay up to $4000 per driver to qualified individuals. Our latest figures show our lease/owner/operators averaging $1.83 / mile pulling our trailer and $2.01 / mile with their own trailer over the past 12 months, on total miles empty and loaded, based on the most practical route.
