Herald Language College is looking for a full-time Recreation Program Leader position! Employer: Herald Education Vancouver Inc. (o/a Herald Language College) Job Position: Recreation Program Leader (NOC 54100) Vacancy: 1 Business/Working Location: #970-789 West Pender St, Vancouver, BC V6C 1H2 Working conditions: - Wage: $21-$22/hour (To be negotiated) - Working hours: 30-40 hours per week - Benefits: 4% of vacation pay and 10 days of paid vacation - Term of Employment: Full-time and Permanent position Job Duties: • Schedule activities • Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts • Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events • Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs • Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities • Leading/instructing groups • Leading/instructing individuals • Conduct therapeutic recreational or athletic activities • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed • Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required Requirement: - Completion of secondary school is required. - Completion of a college program in recreation or physical education is preferred, or 1-2 years of experience as a recreational or sports program leader is required. - Strong interpersonal skills are required.
