No Sign up, No Email Required to Post. Payless Truck Repairs are seeking an AC technician to join our busy shop as soon as possible to provide air conditioning Tune-Ups on Heavy Trucks. Our dedicated repair facility has cutting edge equipment and knowledgeable people to get your truck working like new again. We install engines, repair transmissions service heating and air conditioning system on heavy trucks, differentials and differential housings. We provide warranty on these installations. Requirements • Completion of secondary school. • Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience in the HVAC trade • Languages: English Terms of employment: Permanent employment Starting hourly rate: $33.00 per hour for 40 hours a week. Overtime: Overtime is time and half payable after 8 hours a day or after 40 hours a week Benefits: Extended benefits after 3 -months probationary period. Start date: As soon as possible. Location of work: 4378 Bradner Road, Abbotsford, BC, V4X 1S8 Employment conditions: • Early morning, Morning, Day. • Physically demanding • Attention to detail • Manual dexterity • Standing for extended periods • Handling heavy loads, bending, crouching and kneeling • Hand-eye co-ordination Job Duties • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other specifications • Measure and lay out reference points for installation of AC components • Assemble and install air conditioning components including motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors • Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment • Applicant must have a sound knowledge of installations, troubleshooting and overhauling entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems of trucks. • Provide start up system and test for leaks. • Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing. • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration systems in the trucks • Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment in refrigerated trucks used to transport food and medical supplies. • Must be able to prepare work estimates for clients.
